Subspection anodes utilise the latest
material technology. The anodes distribute the ICCP current
to the vessel's hull wetted surface area and appendages to
eliminate corrosion.
Features of the anode include:
- Operational life in excess of 20 years even when
operated continuously at their maximum rated output
- Hull mounted and recessed anode types available to
meet specific customer, Classification Society or
technical requirements
- Robust construction yet extremely light overall weight
(average weight for a 200 Amp anode is 6kg)
- Simplified installation procedures reduce shipyard
costs
- Standard anodes are manufactured from a range of
metals such as mixed precious metal oxides (MMO),
platinised titanium (Pt/Ti) or platinised-niobium (Pt/Nb)
- Alternative high quality anode materials, such as
lead/silver, with a minimum 2% silver content, can be
supplied
- Streamlined hull mounted anodes minimise the effects
of hull dragging
- Innovative sealing arrangement ensures the watertight
integrity of the anode/cable interface
- Specialised anodes for naval submarine applications
